Out around Eastbourne pier kayaking

Headed out early one morning on my Ocean Malibu 2XL kayak for some photos, just as a big rain cloud was heading in. Very overcast, light rain and strong currents.

This was also the first time using my Red paddle deck bag on my kayak, which fitted nicely.

I had originally planned to paddle further along Beachy Head, but due to the strong currents pulling along that way, the paddled back would have been a hard one, also with a big rain storm coming in, I didn't want to be stuck along there.

So I headed towards Eastbourne Pier, I first paddled to the end of the pier for my first shot, I wanted to try and get it as lined up as possible, which was harder than expected due to the strong currents carrying me along.

Second shot from the other side of the pier

Calm before the storm.
