Life has been… full lately.
For the past four weeks, my photography bag has been packed and ready—film loaded, ideas in mind—but I just haven’t made it out. It’s been one of those seasons where the intention is there, but the time simply isn’t.
For a long time, we’ve talked about moving on from our small home. With the children growing, it’s something that’s felt increasingly necessary. Now, it seems that time has finally come. What followed has been a whirlwind—decorating, painting, and finally tackling all those “I’ll get round to it someday” jobs. The kind that have quietly waited… for about five years.
It’s funny how motivation suddenly appears when it has to.
Alongside that, we’ve had what feels like an endless run of car and van troubles. Just enough to keep me from slipping away with a camera, even for an hour. It’s been frustrating at times, if I’m honest. Photography has always been a bit of breathing space for me—and lately, that space has been hard to find.
But seasons shift.
In a few weeks’ time, I’ve got a Saturday planned away with Andy from Irresponsible Images and Andrea from Mia Pinhole. That might just be the reset I’ve been needing—the next chance to slow down, look closely, and make something again.
Until then, the camera stays packed… waiting.
