Hey everyone — it’s been a little while! Life’s been full-on lately, and I thought I’d share a quick update on what’s been keeping me busy (and away from the camera).
DIY Mode: Activated
Work has been its usual whirlwind, but the real time sink has been our bathroom renovation. It’s a complete redo — and it happens to be the only bathroom in the house, which adds a certain… challenge, especially with 3 kids. Evenings and weekends have been swallowed up by tiles, plumbing, and endless trips to the hardware store. Safe to say, photography has taken a back seat for the time being.
The Silver Lining of the Clock Change
One small perk lately has been the UK clock change — which, I’ll be honest, I still think is completely and utterly pointless — but at least it’s brought back some lovely morning light.
I’ve been setting off a bit earlier and taking a slightly longer route to work along the seafront. Some mornings have been grey, wet, and frankly awful (those usually end with me running late and camera untouched), but every now and then, the light’s been beautiful enough to make me stop and grab a quick snap on my phone.
A Few Quick Moments
Here are a few of those quick captures from the past couple of weeks — nothing fancy, just simple reminders to pause and appreciate the light when it shows up.
Finding Time Again
It’s funny how life ebbs and flows — some weeks are all work and renovation chaos, and others leave space for creativity to creep back in. I’m looking forward to finishing the bathroom and having a bit more breathing room (and time behind the camera) again soon.
Until then, I’m just enjoying these small moments of calm and light whenever they appear — even if it’s just on the way to work with a phone in hand.
Thanks for sticking around — more to come soon!
