Day 3 — A Walk, A Boat, and a Bit of Magic Left Behind

I started the morning with a short solo walk from the campsite, taking out the Mania 4x5 pinhole camera. The light was gentle, and I stumbled across a beautiful old stone stable—weathered, quiet, and full of texture.

A little further on, a single massive rock sat out in the middle of a field, like it had been dropped there. Both scenes felt perfect for pinhole work. I can't wait to see how the film develops.

Later in the morning, we headed to Windermere and took the boat across to Ambleside. From there, a short walk took us to Stock Ghyll Force waterfall. It was beautiful, but far too dark under the tree canopy for pinhole exposures—we didn’t have time to wait around, with a boat to catch. Still, a few extra frames went into the RealitySoSubtle 6x6 throughout the day. The GoPro super clamp came in handy more than once for some improvised camera support.

On the way back, we made one more stop—just enough time to squeeze in a final exposure with the Mania before calling it a day.
