Day 2 — Islands, Rivers, and the Pinhole Dilemma

We set off early for Ullswater, with the weather looking promising and the van loaded up with kayaks and paddleboards. The lake was calm, and paddling out to Norfolk Island—a small, quiet spot in the middle of Ullswater—was a perfect way to start the day and explore with the kids.

If the weather keeps up we will be heading back here, with drone, pinhole camera and a picnic.

Back at the campsite, we headed out on foot to explore some nearby rivers, and I finally got to break in the Mania pinhole camera Ralph Man sent me. I also brought along the RealitySoSubtle 6x6 and snapped a few frames. I've had the 6x6 with me most the time, perfect for out and about pinhole camera.

The 6x17 came along for the ride too—but here’s where I've hit a snag: I forgot to pack a spare take-up spool. Now I’m debating whether to shoot with just the 6x6 as it's an easy camera, or when I've finished the roll in the 6x6 then switch the spare take up spool to the 6x17, this will put the 6x6 out of action which I don't really want, but, this landscape is too good not to capture in panoramic format, so I’ll need to figure it out soon.

Also the DJI neo is coming in perfect for family pics.
