28 September 2019 Morning shoot - High and Over.

This morning I headed over to High and Over, between Alfriston and Seaford, East Sussex for some morning photos.
The weather was cloudy, very windy with heavy intermittent rain.

I love the view from up here and is a very short walk from the free car park, the view looks over the Cuckmere river, Friston forest and down to Seven Sisters country park and just to the right out of this photo is the Litlington White Horse.

I set my camera up, composed the scene that I wanted and sat in this same spot for most the morning waiting for light to start breaking through the clouds, this particular spot was thankfully sheltered from the wind.
The clouds were moving fast and light braking through in very quick bursts normally followed by a sudden hammering of rain.

Thankfully I keep (and couldn't recommend enough) a plastic bag with me to quickly chuck over my gear to help protect it from the rain, and it is also very handy to have when you need to sit down on wet ground.

Camera gear protected from the rain with my plastic bag and my dog not looking so impressed, mostly because I made him wear his coat.

The clouds started to clear and the sun broke through the clouds for a few seconds, started taking some shots and then the rain came hammering down for the photo below.

After the rain stopped I had a few clear minutes to capture some shots before I had to leave for home
