First family camping trip for 2018 - Scotts Farm Camping Site

Camping at Scotts Farm West Wittering, Chichester with the 3 kids.

Our first camping trip of 2018 was at Scotts Farm Camping site, this was the 2nd time we have been here, we had a trip down here last.

It was as crazy with 3 young children as the above photo shows.

We headed down on Tuesday after packing the car and loading our new Big Daddy Roof bag, which we were so impressed with, review will come soon.

The Scotts Farm site is really friendly and a spacious site, good faculties and well maintained, with a play park for the children, hot showers, big sinks for washing up, dog showers, WI-FI, airbed inflation point and beach trolleys, all of which are free to use.

A short walk/very quick drive to the beach and town, also a short drive to the lovely West Wittering beach, where we spent a day with the children playing in the sand.
Get a good day West Wittering is also fun for surfing.

This was also the first time we used our new Berghaus Airbeam 6XL tent.
With inflatable beams it went up so much quicker and loads more space for us to enjoy than our last tent.

We had a very good drive down, set the tent up and headed to the town for a Dinner Out treat at Drifters.

The children were excited to get to bed from around 4pm....the novelty of sleeping in a tent, we are looking forward to this bit wearing off 😉, after getting themselves into pyjamas and in and out their beds, bouncing from one to another and several bed time stories later, they finally went to sleep around 8:30pm

Which then gave a chance for me and the wife to enjoy and quiet hot drink and sit around our gas Cooker heater as it was a cold night.

The kids enjoyed pancakes for breakfast the next morning, cooked by my wife before we headed down to West wittering beach for the day.
Making sand castle and digging for pirate treasure.

Some of the many beach huts on wittering beach.

Second evening the children were shattered after a day at the beach, so thankfully went to bed much better, was also a warmer evening so we sat out and enjoyed the sunset over the campsite.

After the second night, we spent the morning in the local town looking around the surf shops and eating ice cream and waffles, before heading back to the campsite for a BBQ lunch, then packed up, deflated the tent and headed home.

Was a lovely time to get away with the wife and children and again a very enjoyable time at Scotts Farm, we hope to have plenty more camping trips planned for 2018
